We're two designers and engineers who came from small southern California towns. Before Project Jefferson, our only options for decorative maps were traditional, boring road maps. We started Project Jefferson to give us a variety of beautiful, modern maps of our hometowns.
Previously, only residents of major cities could find beautiful art of their city.
Before we built Project Jefferson, most people were not able to display a symbol of their identity in an aesthetically sensible way. People in large cities or tourist destinations could find a slew of art depicting their city, but that was absent for the rest of the population. So we built Project Jefferson.
